Human Trafficking: A Form of Modern Day Slavery
Human Trafficking is a multi-billion-dollar criminal industry that thrives on enslaving men and women, boys and girls. It is the young girl being commercially sexually exploited on-line. It is the older woman being held in domestic servitude. It is the young man being forced into labor without compensation. It impacts everyone - regardless of income, age, gender or nationality.
South Carolina is combatting human trafficking through the collaborative efforts of the statewide task force. The following mandated and formally committed partners are united in one cause - preventing this public health, public safety, and human rights violation in our communities.
