Senior at Ridge View High School
Reilly Arford is a rising senior in the Scholars Academy Magnet for Business and Law program at Ridge View High School in Columbia, SC. He is a varsity football leader, varsity baseball leader, and a varsity wrestler who is heavily invested in his church and faith. Reilly is the leader of a Fellowship of Christian athletes and an active member of a mentoring program.
Another area of passion for Reilly is anti-human trafficking initiatives. Through a mandatory advocacy project in his magnet program, Reilly discovered his dedication to helping human trafficking victims. He has applied his advocacy skills though speaking on human trafficking at a Joint Legislative Children's Committee meeting, serving as a panelist in a discussion sponsored by the City of Columbia, and conducting multiple presentations for various schools throughout the state. Furthermore, Reilly has also supported legislation to improve the standards of direct services specifically provided to victims and survivors of human trafficking.
Reilly is invested in contributing toward efforts to end human trafficking in South Carolina, the United States and across the globe. He hopes to encourage youth to increase their involvement in the movement via his leadership of the Youth Advocacy Sub-Committee.
