Evidence-Based Program Coordinator
Charlene Jones currently serves as the Evidence-Based Program Coordinator on the Children’s Trust Team. Her duties include researching, planning and implementing evidence-based programs. She provides consultation, coordination and coaching so that community-based prevention programs achieve model fidelity and expected outcomes. She facilitates the integration of community and regional programs to support peer learning, network development, and population-level primary prevention efforts. Also, in her role, she participates on the SC Human Trafficking Task Force and as chair of the Prevention and Outreach Work Group of the state task force.
Charlene has over 20 years of experience in the human services field with an emphasis on child welfare and family stability and reunification. She has served in a leadership capacity for more than 15 years with specific program implementation focus on evidence-based curriculums. Charlene is committed to helping children have a voice and empowering them to have an active role in their personal safety and well-being.
Charlene earned a Bachelor of Art in psychology with a minor in social sciences from Winthrop University in Rock Hill and a Master of Science in counseling psychology from Radford University in Radford, Va. She and her husband Jermaine of Greenville, S.C., have two sons, Jaden and Javis. Charlene’s hobbies include singing, socializing, shopping, and she recently has developed an appreciation for leisure reading.
